thebarbiewithmuscle (Aug 03 2010 at 05:07) @charleebayybee Aaaaw sweetheart, once you have stretchmarks you can't do anything about them, they are there to stay. You can only hide them, but they will never go away. However, keeping your skin soft and moisturised definitely gives you a boost in preventing new ones to form. However, the best way to prevent stretch marks is to not get overweight and loose weight, but to keep your weight steady so your skin doesn't stretch and shrink. That is the cause of stretchmarks. | charleebayybee (Aug 03 2010 at 04:58) can you make stretchmarks like less noticeable and prevent more with cocoa butter? or does that just prevent your skin from getting more stretchmarks? | thebarbiewithmuscle (Jul 19 2010 at 08:48) @Mrsjustheretolearn Hey girlie. My son is turning 11 this October. Well I haven't seen the actual document, they only publish results of research and testing that has been done. So the first trimester is basically when the baby is formed right. So if the mother is VitD deficient, while the baby's brain is forming, the cells I guess in the neurological part of the brain, doesn't develop properly. Autism is basically a neurological shortage, in the linking of the paths transmitting messages. | Mrsjustheretolearn (Jul 19 2010 at 06:25) Marinda bless your sweet heart. You’re so health conscious. you’ve been living this health/wellness life for so long, how old is he =) last I knew vit D was being supp. in baby formula &even toddlers foods b/c research showed little ones within the autistic spectrum were found to have low levels & I say low b/c they weren’t found deficient rather they had insufficient levels as to what had been established But not the mother? I mean I didn’t KNOW that. You have to esplain it to me Lucy =) | thebarbiewithmuscle (Jul 19 2010 at 02:42) @Mrsjustheretolearn Silly girl! Oh and they have also found in recent studies that there is a direct link between AUTISM and pregnant women with a Vit D deficiency. That is no surprise to me. My daughter was born in sunny S.A and my son in Canada where I never see the sun, and yep you've guessed it, aspergers autism! Go enjoy your pool before you get bone density problems girl, LOL | Mrsjustheretolearn (Jul 19 2010 at 02:03) Wow, this is a whole new idea for me. I do know there's a direct correlation between not getting enough sun and depressive disorders. Not just Seasonal Affective Disorder either, many forms of depression. It's also bad for sleep disorders, we cant produce melatonin without having adequate exposure.AND, I've got a lovely pool that I rarely use except with the grandbabies. To think I could be enjoying it myself instead of just the little time with them in the pool sounds nice. Thanks so much! | thebarbiewithmuscle (Jul 07 2010 at 04:24) @thatsnotwhattheysaid That is so very sad hun. I am sorry to hear that. I guess what works for most people, won't work for every single person out there. How did they become more noticeable? Did they stay light, while the rest of your skin tanned? What color were they to start out with? If they are dark or red, they won't tan, only if they are lighter than your skin. | thatsnotwhattheysaid (Jul 07 2010 at 01:33) i've been tanning for about 3 years and i have stretch marks they seem to have gotten more noticeable | thebarbiewithmuscle (Jun 23 2010 at 05:08) @zoya505 Just remember moderation okay. Don't try and get dark in one or two sessions. This will take dedication and if you keep it up, you will tan easier each year. A little bit everyday will get you darker over time, and by the end of the summer you will have a tan that will keep you until well into autumn. | zoya505 (Jun 23 2010 at 02:57) @thebarbiewithmuscle thank you so mush i'll try it an i'll tell my friend to try it:) | thebarbiewithmuscle (Jun 22 2010 at 03:11) @zoya505 Of course you can sweetheart! Just use a lowish sunblock like 15 and sit out for a half an hour at a time. If you are very pale start at 15 minutes and work your way up. Try and stay out of the sun between 11 and 1:30. Go everyday, put your bikini on and get sun on your whole body. You will have strong bones and Teeth from the Vit D you get from the sun. | zoya505 (Jun 22 2010 at 01:15) ok im 14 and i hav strech marks but i cant use a sun bed so can i sit out side and get a tan from the sun | thebarbiewithmuscle (May 24 2010 at 05:46) @babyankee03 What do you mean a tanning lotion? Do you mean a self tanner? Self tanners don't hide anything, because they don't color the damaged skin, the same way they color normal skin. So the stretch marks will still be a different color. If your stretch marks are red, now is a good time to tan them, before they fade into white. It is a lot easier to tan the red ones and get them the same color as the rest of your skin. | pakasa87 (May 23 2010 at 09:59) @babyankee03 they wont increase in number or size if you lose weight.. but if you continue to gain , then they will . i understand hun but start your weight loss journey and in time they will get lighter and blend in your skin .:) i kno its tough but it gets better :) | babyankee03 (May 23 2010 at 09:45) i have red stretch marks, if i buy a tanning lotion will that fade them or hide them??
PLEASE ANSWER!!
thanks. | babyankee03 (May 23 2010 at 09:39) @pakasa87 yup! ti don't have on my belly but i have on my legs and a little bit on hips. i need to lose weight and i'm afraid that if i do it more stretch marks will appear and totally ruin my body.
it's so depressing:( | thebarbiewithmuscle (May 07 2010 at 06:54) @mattmatt190 Thanks hun, just make sure you only tan your beautiful face half the time. Our skin on our faces are different than on our bodies and you don't want to get sunspots. Tanning is healthy for you, so keep it up, and always use sunblock when going outside in the sun, even if you have a base from the bed:) | mattmatt190 (May 07 2010 at 05:56) i agree ive been tanning for YEARS!!! im only 17 and i never had cancer,,lol love ya babes | thebarbiewithmuscle (May 06 2010 at 05:26) @pakasa87 you are welcome:) Your mom was right! | pakasa87 (May 06 2010 at 05:21) @thebarbiewithmuscle haha thank u hun :) i try *wink* lmao .. like my mom always said " u cant make anyone happy till your happy yourself"... :) thanks again :) | thebarbiewithmuscle (May 06 2010 at 05:11) @pakasa87 I am sure you are one hot sexy lady, and yes we tend to be very over critical on ourselves. In stead of seeing the whole beautiful picture, we zone in on the one and only flaw we have. We need to ignore that, and see all the other sexy things we have:) | pakasa87 (May 05 2010 at 07:09) @thebarbiewithmuscle i know .. ya i yoyo dieted during my teens .. now im at a good weight and i have started weight training .. to tone up and get strong :)
yes i have been tanning but it still upsets me to see them ..i guess one has to learn to love themselves.. yup i have been trying to overlook them and love my body for wat it is :) | thebarbiewithmuscle (May 05 2010 at 06:26) @pakasa87 Aaw hunnybun, don't be so hard on yourself. Did you try the tanning method? If nothing helps, the main thing is (I assume) you have gotten yourself straitened out and are healthy and a good weight right now:) I tan can hide many flaws, and you can cover them up and still look very sexy. | pakasa87 (May 05 2010 at 06:12) i basically runied my body .. gained a lot of weight in my teens and now i have stretch marks all over my belly ... most depressing thing ever :( | thebarbiewithmuscle (May 02 2010 at 04:16) @eveta1980 Hey new one, no problem, glad you enjoyed. As long as you want them, I'll keep them coming:) |
